The Origami Grandmaster Akira Yoshizawa was born on 14th March 1911 in Kaminokawa,Japan. For him Google showing birthday doodle of an Origami Google Doodle by Robert Lang. In this doodle some origami butterflies hovering over G,O,L and E, making it one of the finest doodle art. This is the 12th doodle of this month.



Origami is an art made by folding papers. It is a traditional Japanese art born on 17th century AD. It got popularity on middle of 90s. Since 90s it's a modern art. The Origami Grandmaster, Akira Yoshizawa firstly used origami to understand some geometrical problems. Dr. Robert Lang also use origami to solve some critical geometrical engineering.

Akira Yoshizawa (吉澤 章 Yoshizawa Akira; 14 March 1911 – 14 March 2005) was considered to be the grandmaster of origami. He is credited with raising origami from a craft to a living arts. According to his own estimation made in 1989, he created more than 50,000 models, of which only a few hundred designs were diagrammed in his 18 books. Yoshizawa acted as an international cultural ambassador for Japan throughout his career. In 1983, Japanese emperor Hirohito named him to the Order of the Rising Sun, one of highest honors that can be given to a Japanese citizen.
